When your child needs medical care away from home, having a comfortable place to stay nearby can make all the difference.
Our 25,000-square-foot, fully accessible Ronald McDonald House provides a welcoming home away from home for up to 20 families each night. Located directly across from Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs, the House allows families to stay together and close to their child’s care while navigating some of life’s most difficult days.
Families have access to private guest rooms and shared spaces designed for everyday life—including two kitchens, spacious dining and living areas, laundry facilities, and indoor and outdoor play spaces for children.
Here, families can prepare a favorite meal, do a load of laundry, find a quiet place to rest, let kids play or simply spend time together away from the hospital.
Most importantly, families are surrounded by a community that understands why they are here.
Our House is designed to give families the space, comfort and everyday essentials they need while staying close to their child’s care.
Our House serves hundreds of families each year who travel to Colorado Springs for their child’s medical care. Ronald McDonald House programs and services are provided at no cost to families.

Let your child’s nurse or medical care team know you would like to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. A hospital social worker, patient care coordinator or member of your medical care team will then submit a referral to Ronald McDonald House Southern Colorado on your behalf.
Once we receive your referral, our team will connect with you about room availability and next steps. If a room is available, we’ll prepare for your arrival and welcome you to the House with a brief check-in and tour, typically taking about 15 minutes.

There is no required fee to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. Since opening our doors in 1987, no family has ever been turned away because of an inability to pay. Families who wish to pay it forward with a contribution are welcome to do so, helping extend the same care and comfort to future families.
Families can stay while their child continues receiving treatment.
